Through Shanti Bodywork, I support my clients in creating a healthy, balanced life for themselves and those around them.

This is My Story

After spending nearly a decade successfully working in the marketing field, I came to the realization at the end of 2008 that I needed a major shift. I promised myself that if I was going to be working hard, I wanted that work to be directly and very positively affecting those around me. I had considered Massage Therapy for a very long time, and I chose this as the time to “take the plunge” and take on this enormous change.

I began my training in Salem, MA at Palmer School of Massage & Bodywork, which is where I learned the amazing power of Reflexology. Because Palmer School closed unexpectedly, I completed my Reflexology training through a mentorship with local reflexologist and reflexology educator Marionna Sabia, and am now a National Board Certified Reflexology Therapist (NBCRT).

I completed my Massage Therapy education at Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA, which is known for its comprehensive, challenging curriculum, and am a Massachusetts Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). I have familiarity with a wide variety of modalities including Swedish, Sports, Myofascial, Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular Release/Trigger Point Release, Prenatal and Shiatsu.

Through my practice, I support my clients in creating a healthy, balanced life for themselves and those around them.

“I created Shanti Bodywork in order to inspire the spirit of peace, health and clarity within each and every one of my clients.” – Sarah

My most recent training includes working with children, which has always been a passion for me. I have become a Certified Infant Massage Educator through Infant Massage USA, which is the US Chapter of the Swedish-based International Association of Infant Massage. Infant Massage is a truly amazing tool that empowers families, strengthens bonds, and nurtures health and well-being for all involved. Teaching infant massage provides me with a sense of knowing that I am bringing about positive change, and I feel so lucky to be able to share this with others.

I have also completed training as a Certified Instructor of children’s yoga through Color Me Yoga™, a comprehensive children’s yoga training program that allows me to reach out to children of all ages and share the peace, strength, and confidence that yoga brings to people of all ages and abilities.
