Shanti Reviews

Check out what clients have to say about their experiences at Shanti Bodywork.

Sarah is amaaaazing! Not only is she sweet and caring but very flexible and thoughtful. I started going to her for prenatal massages. I loved each one and couldn’t wait for the next. My baby came 19 days early and she was very understanding about me canceling my next appointment and said I can reschedule it any time when I was comfortable to do so and that she wanted to meet him soon as well :). During this time I also bought an infant massage session. I emailed her to set up the appointment thinking I had to drag all this stuff over to her, but no, she offered to come to our home if it was more convenient for me. Ummm of course!!! What new mom would want to schlep over to an office for an infant massage (even though it is beneficial to baby). She arrived on the dot and brought with her oil and handouts for me to keep and use. It was a fun session and I learned a few things as we practiced on the baby. I had fun. I’m obviously going to keep seeing Sarah and hopefully I’ll get to have my next massage as soon as this little guy starts “behaving” a little more 🙂 Thank you Sarah!

As a Massage Therapist myself I find it very hard to have a massage and not critique the treatments I receive. I have to say my session with Sarah was top notch. Sarah uses a variety of modalities and is very knowledgeable in her anatomy. I was very relaxed and all of my specific needs were met. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah and I will be seeing her again.

Sarah is amazing! She has a fantastic understanding of the body and how life circumstances can be reflected in your areas of tightness. Everything about her practice is easy – from booking an appointment with her to explaining your needs and goals for the session – she is incredibly responsive and understanding.

Most importantly your experience during the massage is completely comfortable, relaxing and rejuvenating. When I leave, I think about the next time that I will need to go back to hit the reset button on my body!

I first experienced massage by Sarah during a yoga workshop and was so excited when I finally booked an hour long massage with her. She makes you feel completely comfortable, she’s super professional, and she heals you. Period.

I’ve now had a total of 5 massages with Sarah over a few years–some while I was pregnant–and she’s my go-to when I’m feeling physically off. When someone asks what I want for a present, I say a session with Sarah! I can’t recommend her enough for a relaxed, knowledgeable, healing, restorative massage.

Oh, and another great thing about Sarah is that she follows your lead with “chatting”. Sometimes I like talking during the session and sometimes I don’t, and she adapts! Plus, she’s just super friendly and sweet.

Treat for your feet and then some! Sarah is one of my favorite North Shore LMTs! She has such intuitive skill when it comes to massage and bodywork that you feel like you are walking on air when you leave her table.

She has vast training in a variety of massage styles and she makes your toes feel very happy! With as much as we torture our feet, a visit to Sarah is a must! Then you too can have “Happy Feet”. And if your significant other thinks it is a frivolous expense. Just remind them that “no-body’s happy unless Momma is happy”!

Sarah gives an excellent massage. I have tried many massage therapists, searching for one who can get into the muscle tissue without making me tense up. Also, I am a runner and she gets into the tight hip flexors which most therapists ignore.

Sarah is a great massage therapist. She took into consideration my requests but also listened to what my body was telling her and addressed areas that were definitely in need of being de-notted. She has a friendly and warm demeanor and treats her clients respectfully. Highly recommended!

Sarah did a great job. It was my first time going to her and she really got to know me and what my physical needs were. She made the room comfortable and while I came in with a very tense back, I left completely relaxed and loose. It was great to find someone so good on the North Shore and so close to home. I purchased a 3 massage pack so that I can go back again soon!

Sarah is a tremendously skillful, and sensitive practitioner. I received some reflexology and some work on my hands which produced the feeling of a very deep full body massage. The cleansing, and healing feeling has lasted for days after the session. I am so grateful!

Sarah is awesome! I’ve been a regular client for over a year and for some reason am just now getting around to writing a review. I’m a serious runner and expect deep pressure from a massage therapist, but without being so painful that it absolutely wrecks my body. Sarah does a great job of applying just the right amount of pressure to really break up the adhesions without leaving me crippled the next day. Super flexible on scheduling as well and often available on weekends. I can’t recommend her enough!

The last time I saw Sarah was the night before an interview and I *swear* it made me more calm and confident in the interview! Sarah is a fantastic practitioner and until her, I didn’t have a regular massage therapist. But she has made me into a regular.

The first time I saw her was for reflexology only (wanted to try something new), and she made my feet feel like clouds. The next time I went to her I got a massage w/some attention on my feet. It was awesome. If I could book her for two hours and do one hour massage and one hour of reflexology, I would. Though then I would never leave her table.

Sarah is simply amazing! She’s friendly, welcoming, flexible, listens, and has magical hands. Before Sarah, I had a few massages here and there but never at the same place. After having seen Sarah, I will only go to her and have decided to treat myself once a month to see her. I’ve only done the two hour integrated session and honestly will only stick to that- it’s pure bliss.

In Sanskrit, Shanti means
peace & tranquility.

With the goal of healing the past in order to welcome the present, the term “Shanti” evokes balance, freedom and a feeling of “lightness.”
